Nuka Cola Quantum 2by ~Hyourin

A project that took up a good portion of my free time the past few months - a Nuka Cola Quantum for my boyfriend's birthday. One of the few things I made.

It took me much more time and effort because I had to make things 10 times more difficult for myself. Why? I wanted to build the circuitry for the lighted portions myself. Never done any of that before, ha. But it was fun and I learned a lot. It's set up so that whenever it's light out, the LEDs are off. Whenever it's dark, they come on. IE, a photo resister. The LEDs are UV so that the tonic water gives off a nice glow.

The Coke cap is sitting there just because I thought it looked really empty right there. Still thinking of burying something in that portion, like a stimpak or something.

I'm considering making and selling these if you really want to know. v:

What did you do to the bottle to get that great weathered-exposedtotheelements look to it??

Haha, if anything they would probably be made to order so varying pricing depending on what people wanted :3 But it's super simple to get the bottle weathered. First I sanded it, and then went over with super light coats of brown acrylic paints, building up in certain areas.

Hmmm interesting! I didn't know it could be that easy to weather glass! Thanks I'll keep an eye out for when/if you start selling them I'm pretty sure I'm gunna buy one
